ESOP was at the 'Digital Transformation & Open Source' event that took place under the Odoo Roadshow Tour in Leiria on 27th November.

The participation in this event resulted from an invitation to present the panorama and potential of Open Source in market and its role in digital transformation in companies. The ESOP presentation was led by the President of the ESOP Board, Eduardo Taborda, also CEO of the associate company Syone.

Were discuss concepts such as Open Source Software and Free Software or “public money, public code". It was also presented the role of Open Source Software in technological innovation and digital transformation of companies, the several advantages associated, as well as several use cases and references in Portugal.

This event was attended by several software companies from the region of Leiria and several entrepreneurs from the region from various sectors, including the mold industry, services and commerce.

Another motivating event, promoting Open Source in Portugal in which ESOP can participate, thus awakening the business community to the power of Open Source Software. It was especially interesting because it was an event with companies from various sectors (other than IT) who were now better informed to make conscious decisions.
