2022- 11- 30

In the US, for example, with the introduction of the Open Source Software Protection Act, a bipartisan Senate piece of legislation to help protect federal agencies and critical infrastructure systems by strengthening software security.

In Europe, the European Commission published its draft Cyber Resilience Law, which imposes additional cybersecurity requirements but exempts open source software developed outside of commercial activity. The European Parliament also voted on the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA).

Another reference is the Linux Foundation, which ESOP joined this year, which recently published its report World of Open Source do terceiro trimestre de 2022 where these and other Open Source developments are scrutinized.
