• Policies negotiation: A standard set of Domain Specific Language (DSL) to compute access rights and usage policies.
• Traceability: Means to store and trace the negotiation results with the capacity to log intermediate realisations
• Discoverability: A means to search and find datasets based on queries and filtering.

Data Week is the spring gathering of the European Big Data and Data Driven AI research and innovation communities. In Data Week, the participants share knowledge and results, discuss topics of common interest, find synergies, build new collaborations and identify new challenges and recommendations.

In light of the upcoming publication of the update of the European Commission Guidelines on Public Procurement of Open Source Software, the OSOR team is delighted to invite you to our webinar “Public Procurement of Open Source Software”. The webinar will be an opportunity for the OSOR community to share insights and good practices on the purchase of OSS by public administrations, which will contribute to the new version of the Guidelines.

Johan Linåker, researcher at Lund University (Sweden), and Rasmus Frey, Head of Secretariat at OS2 (Denmark), will present the challenges that public administrations face when purchasing open source software and how to overcome them, as well as practical examples of how municipalities procure solutions in Denmark. Then, Patrice-Emmanuel Schmitz, a legal expert and one of the authors of the original Guidelines on Public Procurement of Open Source Software, will present the most common legal and licensing requirements and practices.

The European Mobility domain is very rich but highly fragmented. Gaia-X has set the goal of making mobility data more available to improve the capacity to circulate better for each individual citizen on the European territory and to support the development of new businesses thanks to better access to data. Privacy of personal data is to be ensured, such that citizens stay in control entirely. The Gaia-X framework enables mobility data spaces that are sovereign and federated and that can be deployed with trust and at scale. These data spaces integrate existing data initiatives in a federated structure and invite new initiatives to join the federation, to enhance the mobility experience for travellers (short and long distance) and, reduce costs, for example, linked to traffic disruption.
